Stephan Walther-Longrée studied law at the University of Basel, was admitted to the bar and holds a CAS in Compliance in the Finance Industry from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. He has many years of practical experience in advising natural and legal persons in Switzerland and abroad, particularly also advising banks, fund management and asset management companies on Swiss financial market law.

He spent several years as Head of Legal for the Swiss Trust Company and as director of the Zurich branch. Prior to that, Stephan Walther-Longrée worked for around seven years as an advisor in the legal department of STG-Coopers & Lybrand AG in Zurich.
